So, I am for a strategy that actually gets the Vote America legislation passed. I have an open mind on how to do it. But the point is we don't have the votes to do what you're talking about. And so, again, that doesn't mean even if we don't, we're going to be on the floor. We're going to be working on it next week. Hopefully, we're successful, but if not, this is a fight we're going to continue. And this is a fight where we have the upper hand because even Democrats, all options are on the table. >> All options are on the table is what you're saying. >> All options are on the table on Elon. Senator Blumenthal coming out of a closed- dooror meeting with the administration said [snorts] that he's a little frustrated with the answers that he got from the administration and said the next level the administration said regarding the war in Iran would be troops deployment. Have you heard anything about troops deployment into Iran? >> Briefings I have had as we just said in now in regard to uh the conflict in Iran. All options are on the table, but I have not heard an indication from the administration that they intend to put put boots on the ground. They're not foreclosing options, but I have not heard them talk about putting boots on the ground. >> Iranian people who talk to me are worried that President Trump might end this conflict prematurely. I got a lot of comments from inside Iran who are asking President President Trump to finish the job. What is your take on what he's going to do? How confident are you? remember the objectives that were clearly laid out by the administration as well as the secretary of war and others, Secretary Rubu Rubio and others. First, we're going to take out their ability to fire uh ballistic missiles and these kamicazi drones. We're going to take out the launchers, their ability to manufacture those things. We're going to take out their navy and and also their ability to build a nuclear weapon. Those are the objectives and they've been very clear on >> Senator on the cost of the war over 11 billion. Are you comfortable with that, Frank? >> Well, they're going to submit a supplemental at some point. I mean, I' I've already been in briefings where we've been talking about. We'll see what it is. And yes, I'm supportive of it. Obviously, we have to make sure that we do what it takes to finish the conflict and achieve our goals. >> What about the cost of oil? Are you concerned that that's impacting American families and that that'll have a trickle down for the midterms against >> I think it's going to be short-lived and already the administration is taking actions uh in the in the short term to mitigate the increase in oil prices because of uncertainty but ultimately I think that oil prices are going to be lower both because we're producing more energy and ultimately we are going to reduce Iran's ability to adversely impact the straight of horm. So I think by election time energy prices, oil prices will be lower. >> Now Ayatollah has vowed retaliation. Are you concerned? Are you worried for Americans? >> What? >> About retaliation here at home? >> Isn't that the whole point? Iran has been the the number one state sponsor of terror in the world for 47 years. They have been killing Americans. They have been killing people, you know, throughout Europe. They have their proxies, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and others. That's exactly what they're doing. They are killing people. The whole point is to take away their ability to do that. >> If we have military, that's what this is all about. >> If we have such a military commitment in the region, why can't we control the straight up news? >> Well, I think we will. I mean, it takes some time. You have to take take out the navy. You have to take out the ability and put >> He said we took out the president said that. >> Well, you have these fast boats. Uh you have the ability to mine. So they're still working some of those things.
